State housing protesters march on Parliament

Dozens of protesters have marched to Parliament to protest the closure of state houses.

The group chanting "stop the war on the poor'' are protesting over access to state housing including the closure of Housing New Zealand properties in Auckland's Glen Innes and the Lower Hutt suburb of Pomare.

They will present a petition with about 1000 signatures to MPs from the Greens, Labour and Mana this afternoon.
