Rural Franklin dead man identified

A man found dead at a rural Franklin property this morning has been identified.

His next of kin were being advised and his name would be released tomorrow, police said.

A post-mortem examination would also be held tomorrow.

The investigation would focus on establishing the movements of the dead man before his death.

The occupants of the Ramarama property where the man was found had been co-operative, police said.

Police were not looking for anyone else over the death and it was expected to be some time before they could comment on whether any charges would be laid.
