Justin Bieber taps Drake, Kanye for next album

He's just days away from unleashing his festive cracker, but teen phenom Justin Bieber is already dropping tantilising nuggets about his next project.

The Biebs, who hooked up with Usher, Busta Rhymes and Mariah Carey on his forthcoming Christmas album Under The Mistletoe, reveals that he's enlisted some powerhouse hip-hop stars for his 2012 album, titled Believe.

"Very soon [it'll be released], after my Christmas album," Bieber, 17, dished in an interview with Capital FM.

"I'm working with a lot of cool people. I'm working with Kanye. Drake is going to work on the album with me," he said.

Of the new album's vibe, he mused: "I just learned about picking the right songs and making sure that I create a sound that people aren't really used to hearing so that it's new and fun and people enjoy it."

Bieber's manager, Scooter Braun, recently spoke to Billboard about the project.

"He's pretty adamant about writing a lot of [the album]," said Braun. "And he played me some stuff that he's been doing on his own. He wrote this amazing song that sounds like a Jodeci record. I'm really excited for him. This kid can sing his ass off. He's coming into his own."

Added Bieber: "[I'm] writing about how I feel and producing. I've been producing on my laptop and on my computer," he said. "I've been really into it and, hopefully, this next album will be huge."

P.S. The boy wonder recently felt the long arm of the law after he was pulled over by cops in his Batman-themed Cadillac.

According to reports, Bieber, who was driving in a three-car convoy, was pulled over by police in Los Angeles after he cut off an officer.

Luckily for Biebs and his crew, they were let off with a warning, reports TMZ.

Hate on this kid all you like, he is going to have staying power as a pop-star. He's the next Justin Timberlake and beyond that, maybe the next MJ? Can really sing, dance, write songs, play instruments, whatever, and has genuine stage presence.

Bieber "taps" Drake, Kanye? I think "tap" means something different to people like Kanye West and Drake.

Dance? What videos have you been watching? Write songs? Baby, baby, baby, oh, my baby, baby, baby, oh (repeat). No pop stars have staying power any more, and haven't done for decades. Even the Spice Girls who were massive globally and on both sides of the Atlantic lasted only two albums.

Take someone like Nicky Minaj. I'm a big fan, but she's reached saturation point already, having collabroated with just about everyone in "the game", and she's only got one album out. Even Lady Gaga is getting boring now, sales are down, and she's only on album number 2 or 3. I can't see anyone being big for 10-15 years ever again.
