Emmylou Harris pays tribute to friends and lovers on her latest offering, Hard Bargain. She kicks off the album with The Road, a reflective nod to her relationship with fellow country-folk legend Gram Parsons and three songs from the end is the tearjerker, My Darlin' Kate, which remembers her good friend, the late Kate McGarrigle.

It's a beautiful album which reminds us why - after a career spanning 40 years - Harris is still one of America's most respected singer-songwriters.
