Suicide bomb kids' book a best-seller

A new children's novel with a storyline about a mixed-race teenage girl being groomed to become a suicide bomber has become a best-seller in the past month, a leading British book store said.

Checkmate by Malorie Blackman was number two in the Waterstone's latest teen fiction sales list.

It is the third in a trilogy set in a fictional world where black race "Crosses" rule over subservient white "Noughts".
