The Northern Mystics are the only team left standing between the Southern Steel and an unbeaten season.
The two sides square off in the final of the inaugural eight-team Super Club competition in Nelson at 8.30pm tonight (Friday) after winning their semifinals last night.
The Steel are aiming for a 21st straight victory after blitzing the ANZ Championship and now the Super Club tournament. They cruised past the Pulse 70-54 last night, their fifth win this year over the team from the capital and their 20th overall.
The Mystics beat the New South Wales Institute of Sport 66-48 in yesterday's first semifinal.
