New Zealand has made good progress on a rain-interrupted second morning of the first cricket test against Pakistan at Eden Park today.
When play began 45 minutes late, fast-medium bowler Daryl Tuffey dismissed both overnight batsmen, Younis Khan and Faisal Iqbal, within his first three deliveries.
Fellow new ball bowler Chris Martin removed Saqlain Mushtaq and Waqar Younis in quick time and at lunch Pakistan were 294 for 8.
Captain Moin Khan was on 14 and Mushtaq Ahmed was yet to score.
Tuffey had taken three for 67 while Martin had four for 89.
