On the move
Trench digging and duct laying continues throughout the Auckland central business district, affecting major roads such as Anzac Ave, Nelson St, Hobson St and Symonds St. Other work is being done on roads and footpaths, including Fanshawe and Customs Sts.

A fair to middling weekend, starting with clouds and rain, easing to showers and fine patches tomorrow and then fine weather on Sunday.

* The annual Manukau Regatta sets sail from the Clarks Beach Yacht Club.
