Gisborne search and rescue teams have been stood down after a missing woman and her eight-year-old son were found in the Eastern Bay of Plenty this morning.
Leilani Campbell, 36, and son Pine, of Matawai, 74km northwest of Gisborne, went missing late yesterday afternoon, sparking police concern.
The pair were seen today about 8.30am and were given a ride to Waimana, west of Opotiki, in a school bus.
They are believed to be weary but otherwise fine.
