Police in Auckland are searching for two men involved in the armed robbery of an Onehunga TAB.
The robbers, wearing blue overalls and black balaclavas, confronted the owner of the betting agency at gunpoint as he opened up for business in Onehunga Mall about 8.00 this morning.
The men were brandishing what is thought to be a sawn-off shotgun. They left the scene on foot.
It is not known how much money was stolen in the robbery.
Senior Sergeant Greg Cramer of Auckland police said the owner was not hurt in the robbery.
The incident was the third armed robbery of a TAB in Auckland in the last eight days.
The TAB was robbed by a man with a pistol last Wednesday and a TAB in Avondale was robbed at gunpoint 8 days ago.
Senior Sergeant Cramer said it was not yet known if there was any connection between the robberies.
