The line-up has been announced for this year's Rhythm and Alps festival, with British DJ Carl Cox headlining the event.
The popular two-day festival takes place in the Cardrona Valley near Wanaka on December 30 to 31.
DJ Carl Cox will take the stage after midnight on New Year's Eve. Also set to perform are Australian party rock band Sticky Fingers and local electronic duo Arma Del Amor.
US rapper Chali 2na, a member of hip-hop group Jurrasic 5, will perform with his band the House of Vibe on December 31.
Melbourne rapper Remi and Kiwi glitch artist Opiuo will also perform on December 30.
Other local acts include Weird Together, Electric Wire Hustle, Ahoribuzz and Out of Sorts.
Drum and Bass is also a focus of the festival, with acts including Brazil's DJ Marky, Ed Rush and Optical and the UK's Dub Phizix and Strategy.
Festival director Alex Turnbull believes it's the strongest festival lineup to date.
"We expect the lineup to appeal to a wide range of music lovers of all ages," he says.
A second line up announcement will be made in the coming months.
