How can you tell if you're a lesbian? Take a trip to Christchurch. At least, that's how the Topp Twins worked it out.
"We saw some lesbians in Christchurch and we thought, 'we're just like them'," recalls Lynda Topp.
"Before that we thought we were just country girls," jokes sister Jools.
After more than 30 years in the music industry, The Topp Twins hold a special place in New Zealand music and pop culture history. So much so, our host Anika Moa is a little starstruck by the pair.
They are her idols and she can't help but wish she'd been born a decade or so earlier, "because if I was your sister, we'd be the Topp Triplets and it's be so much better".
