They've released three albums of perfect psychedelic indie-pop - but they've never headlined their own New Zealand tour.
That's about to change when Perth-based rockers Tame Impala come to New Zealand for their first headlining tour.
The five-piece will play Auckland's Logan Campbell Centre on November 24, and Wellington's Shed 6 on November 25, on the back of their recent third album Currents.
That album has earned rave reviews, with TimeOut calling it a "trip (that) crashes right through the psychedelic rock boundaries" in a four-and-a-half-star review.

Previous albums Innerspeaker and Lonerism also earned rave reviews.
Tame Impala have performed in New Zealand before as part of the 2013 Laneway line-up, but this is the first time headlining their own tour.
Kody Neilson's new band Silicon will open at both shows.
Tickets are on sale from August 31.
