If you're a fan of hip-hop act Jurassic 5, there's good news for Auckland - but bad news for Christchurch.
The reformed hip-hop group are making major changes to their upcoming New Zealand tour in April.
They've added an Auckland concert tour date, cancelled a Christchurch one, and changed the date of their Wellington appearance and moved the show to a new venue.
Their full tour schedule is as follows:
April 8: Shed 6, Wellington
April 9: Powerstation, Auckland
April 10: Powerstation, Auckland
April 11: Powerstation, Auckland
A press release said the Christchurch show at the Bedford was cancelled to accommodate the third Auckland show.
The Los Angeles six-piece is riding high on a wave of nostalgia for their brand of feelgood hip-hop. They broke up in 2007 but reformed in 2013 and performed a one-off show at the Powerstation last year to rave reviews.
Herald reviewer Chris Schulz said it was a "perfectly paced, seamlessly mixed" set consisting of songs from all four of their albums.
"It was, without question, the happiest hip-hop show the Powerstation has seen. There were no swear words, no drug references and not a single moment that could be labelled as gangster rap. Even a small scuffle in the front rows was dealt with smiles as the instigator was forced to sit out the show on a chair at the back of the stage," he wrote.
Jurassic 5 recently released a new song, the one-off single The Way We Do It.
