Kiwi musicians have banded together to record a We Are the World-style song for charity.
The NZ on Air-funded video for Song For Everyone - featuring Stan Walker, Annie Crummer, Boh Runga, Vince Harder, the boys from Titanium and Moorhouse, and X Factor winner Jackie Thomas - was released over the weekend.
It's been recorded for the For Everyone Charitable Foundation, a charity founded by All Blacks Richie McCaw, Dan Carter and Ali Williams that supports community events and organisations with grants of up to $5000.
Williams said the song echoed the sentiments of the foundation.
"The message of Song For Everyone is all about kiwis helping their fellow kiwis and that's exactly what our Foundation sets out to do as well," he said.
"With profits from sales and downloads going to the Foundation, the song will help us give more grants across NZ."
The idea for the song came from Harder, who said: "I'm stoked that Richie, Dan and Ali had faith in the song and backed us by saying yes to our idea."
