Neutral Milk Hotel coming to NZ

Neutral Milk Hotel have announced a four-date New Zealand tour.

Jeff Mangum, the songwriter behind the iconic indie band, last played a one-off show in New Zealand in 2001.

He is returning with his full band to play at Sammy's in Dunedin on November 20, James Cabaret in Wellington on November 22 and The King's Arms in Auckland on November 23 and 24.

Neutral Milk Hotel are known for their critically acclaimed and influential 1998 album In The Aeroplane Over The Sea.

They went on a long hiatus after releasing the album and only returned to performing live this year.

Tickets for the band's New Zealand dates go on sale at 9am on May 31 from
