Flight of the Conchords star Bret McKenzie has been nominated for a Grammy.
The comedian and actor is up for the Best Song Written for Visual Media award for his composition Man or Muppet.
Other nominees in the category include Mumford and Sons for Learn Me Right, which was included in Brave and Win Butler and Regine Chassagne of Arcade Fire for Abraham's Daughter, written for the movie The Hunger Games.
Man or Muppet was written for the hit The Muppets movie and has previously won an Oscar for best original song.
McKenzie was awarded a place on the New Zealand Order of Merit in this year's Queen's Birthday honours.
He is writing and recording the music to the sequel to The Muppets, which is set to be released in December next year.
