Oh boy, they're back

Pop punk emo stars Fall Out Boy return to New Zealand next year for a show at Vector Arena on February 23.

FOB were last here in March 2007 at the 4000-capacity TelstraClear Pacific Events Centre off the back of their No 1 album Infinity On High and Vector Arena will be a big step up for the Chicago quartet.

They have yet to release a follow-up, but the band revealed earlier this year that the new album will be called Folie à Deux and in September they posted a new single, I Don't Care, on their website.

While it's been a little quiet on the musical front, bass player, lyricist and leader Pete Wentz's marriage to singer and actress Ashlee Simpson in May ensures he's always in the gossip pages. The most recent paparazzi shots of the musician showed him tripping over in a carpark while texting his beloved.

Tickets to the band's show go on sale November 12 at Ticketmaster.
