It's the first look at a Peter Jackson film since his Hobbit trilogy finished - and fans say they aren't disappointed.
A teaser trailer for Mortal Engines, a post-apocalyptic sci-fi film shot in New Zealand and starring Irish actor Robert Sheehan and Iceland's Hera Hilmar, landed today.
From Universal Pictures, Mortal Engines is set in a world thousands of years after civilisation was destroyed where gigantic moving cities roam the earth.
Jackson is co-producing the film, which is based on Philip Reeves' Mortal Engines book, while Kiwi director Christian Rivers is behind the camera.
The first trailer landed today, and fans were quick to sing its praises, with one writing: "Looks awesome."
Post production on the film is underway at Park Road Post Production in Wellington ahead of a worldwide release in December 2018.
