Oscar winning actress Lupita Nyong'o is in talks to star in Marvel Studio's Black Panther.
The actress who took home an Oscar for her performance in 12 Years a Slave, is in negotiations to act alongside Chadwick Boseman, according to the The Hollywood Reporter.
The comic book movie will be helmed by filmmaker Ryan Coogler, who directed 2015's boxing film Creed.
Coogler is also pegged to be writing the script for Black Panther with production set to start in early 2017.
Boseman has been named to portray T'Challa the warrior king of Wakanda, Marvel's fictional African nation.
While Nyong'o's character is yet to be revealed, it's rumoured she will star as Black Panther's romantic interest.
The actress recently starred in box office hit Star Wars: The Force Awakens and voiced the wolf Raksha in The Jungle Book.
Black Panther is set to hit the big screen in February 2018.
