Insomniac has shown off the first gameplay footage from upcoming PlayStation 4 platformer Ratchet & Clank.
The E3 trailer features footage from the Ratchet & Clank movie as well the upcoming game.
Based on the upcoming film which is based on the very first game, Ratchet & Clank on PlayStation 4 will feature modern controls, several new planets, new and updated gameplay segments, all-new Clank gameplay, all new boss fights, new flight sequences, and more, said Insomniac.
"Throw in James Arnold Taylor as Ratchet, and you have a new beginning," wrote Insomniac community lead James Stevenson on PS Blog.
A pure gameplay video from a recent Insomniac event has also been released:
The majority of game's weapons weren't in the original game. Instead, Ratchet will have access to weapons from subsequent titles and some brand new ones, including the Pixelizerm which transforms enemies into explosive 8-bit pixels.
Those who pre-order the game will get the Bouncer bomb launcher from Ratchet & Clank 2.
Ratchet & Clank won't be out until 2016.
