Jari-Matti Latvala will drive for the new Toyota World Rally Team in 2017 after agreeing to terms this week.
The Finn, who spent the past four years with Volkswagen, will be join countryman Juho Hanninen as a fulltime driver in 2017 according to Autosport magazine.
Another Finn Esapekka Lappi is expected to drive a third Yaris and will begin a couple of rallies into the new season.
Latvala refused to confirm his move but admitted he is confident of being on the start line at Rally Monte Carlo in mid-January.
"I cannot confirm that I have signed," he told Autosport.
"I have been negotiating a lot with Tommi [team boss Tommi Makinen] with my manager Timo Jouhki, but I cannot tell you I have signed.
"If you had asked me one week ago, I would have said it was looking unlikely, but now I start to get more confident."
