Kiwi V8 Supercars driver Chris Pither is hoping to continue his fast pace at this weekend's V8 Supercars round at Winton Raceway.
Pither enjoyed a break-through drive at the previous round in Perth, qualifying inside the top 10 and showing genuine car speed that matched the leading contenders.
"Our performance at Barbagallo was a real positive for me and a good confidence boost as well," Pither says.
"I knew we could do it, we just had to get our ducks in a row and we did.
"Hopefully at Winton the car rolls out of the truck like it did at Perth because it was spot on."
Winton is Pro-Drive Racing Australia's home track, where they do a lot of their testing, and the data they would have collated there will be a huge benefit come race day.
"Winton's a familiar track for me and cutting laps there at the pre-season test will really help us when it comes to the race," Pither says.
"Obviously there will be variables but it's another track where the team has traditionally performed well which gives me a bit of confidence."
