Porsche boss Michael Macht lifted the covers on the company's 918 Spyder concept overnight at the Geneva Motor Show.
The stunning mid-engined two-seater boasts big V8 grunt with a little carbon footprint.
Porsche's petrol-electric hybrid technology uses a trio of electric motors putting out 160kW to partner a 372kW V8 engine.
The result, claims Porsche, is a staggering fuel consumption of just 3L/100kms. Emissions are impressively low too, with a 70g/km output.
It still needs the petrol engine to do the business though - it's only got a 25km range on batteries.
Porsche recently announced a greened-up Porsche GT3 racecar that used kinetically charged electric motors to give a meaty power boost.
