The next generation of the 'world's fastest Indian' - the Scout - will be revealed to the New Zealand public at Big Boys Toys in November.
"We are extremely excited about the return of the Scout, not least because it will be the first truly new Scout in more than seven decades - it is a contemporary yet classic interpretation of one of motorcycling's most coveted and famous bikes, well known in New Zealand for its feats as the 'world's fastest Indian' with Burt Munro at the helm," said Peter Harvey, Country Manager for Indian Motorcycles.
With high horsepower levels, exceptional comfort and superior handling, the all-new Scout is designed to appeal to riders of varying sizes and experience levels.
"Burt Munro's story is one that dreams are made of, a Kiwi punching above his weight, using his ingenuity, and overcoming adversity - and we truly believe that the all-new Scout is a bike worthy of dreaming about too," he continued.
The 2015 Indian Scout will be on sale late this year from $19,995 and will be available in thunder black, Indian Motorcycle red, silver smoke and thunder black smoke.
Alongside Scout on the Indian Motorcycle stand will be the all-new Roadmaster, which also draws on Indian's proud heritage as America's first motorcycle company.
"The Roadmaster tourer will raise the bar in luxury motorcycle touring with high levels of comfort and convenience alongside features that recall the original bikes from the 1940s and 1950s," Harvey continued.
"As our new flagship luxury touring bike, the Roadmaster comes with an extensive list of standard premium features - customers who visit our Big Boys Toys stand will be impressed with the comfort levels that allow two passengers to comfortably ride all day," he concluded.
Topping out the Indian range at $39,995, the Roadmaster will be available in thunder black, Indian Motorcycle red, and a two-tone Indian Motorcycle red/ivory cream paint scheme.
"We have experienced exceptionally high interest in the Indian brand since it's re-launch in New Zealand in May - our Auckland dealership has been run off its feet with test rides and sales, and is already taking pre-orders for Scout and Roadmaster," he concluded.
New Zealand fans of Indian will be able to see the full 2015 range at Big Boys Toys at the ASB Showgrounds in Auckland on 7-9 November.
