Castles, valleys, wetlands, dramatic coastline and the home of poet Dylan Thomas are all part of the scenery on a new 354km cycle route in south and west Wales.
The Celtic Trail makes the most of disused railway lines, canal towpaths, adapted bridges and country lanes. It begins at Chepstow and leads to Cardiff, finishing at the Irish Sea port of Fishguard. The route is also safe for walkers and the disabled.
