A cosmetics company has been met with outrage for using a racist slur to market their new black nail polish.
Italian brand Wycon Cosmetics has attracted criticism for naming the darkest shade in their new nail polish range "Thick as a N**ga".
The instagram post of Wycon promoting their new gel polish has been flooded with angry comments and calls to boycott the brand.
"This is unbelievable. They are disgusting," one user commented.
One added: "Do you not understand how racist this is?"
The company has defended the name of their new range as "a bit crazy", explaining that many of the names are inspired by hip hop, such as Bootylicious and Candy Shop.
"Thick as a N**ga', says Wycon, is inspired by a DBangz song called 'Thick N***as and Anime Tiddies," the company said in an Instagram comment.
"Wycon is the brand for everybody #nobodyexcluded is our motto and we didn't mean to offend anybody!"
