A wedding is said to be one of the happiest days of somebody's life but, as any married couple will tell you, it can also be one of the most stressful.

Nervous brides-to-be have taken to the secret sharing app Whisper to share their concerns ahead of the big day.

Making use of the app's anonymity settings these soon-to-be wives have spared no sordid details as to why they have cold feet.

According to the Daily Mail, one woman confessed that she was worried she was getting married "just to have a bodyguard", while another pondered that marriage "just wasn't for her".
