When Reddit user Ghos5880 bought a packet of mini choc-hazelnut doughnuts from his local Australian supermarket he never expected he'd bite into a lie.
A picture uploaded to Reddit of one of his doughnuts cut in half shows that his doughnuts weren't filled with choc-hazelnut goodness at all. Instead, pressed into the side of the doughnut there was a single little dollop of the good stuff.
"I've never felt so robbed," he captioned the photo.
According to news.com.au, within 24 hours his post had received 1109 comments from concerned doughnut and nutella lovers alike outraged by the serious lack of choc-hazelnut.
"No way this is a mistake. This is malicious intent," wrote an offended commenter.
"Looks like they're nutella-ing you the truth," another joked.
One doughnut lover shared a similar experience about a pack of jam doughnuts that left her unfulfilled, but admitted she might've been confused by the product's label.
"I bought the Jam Doughnuts Friday night and it's the same ... they labelled it 'Jam Doughnuts', not 'Jam Filled Doughnuts'. Fair enough," she posted.
Her claim of unfilled jam doughnuts was later backed up by a picture from another disgruntled doughnut eater.
Although Ghos5880 didn't quite get the doughnut oozing with choc-hazelnut that he expected, he wasn't about to let the unsatisfying surprise get in the way of his love of nutella.
"I just ate the nutella end and left the dry disappointing bits," he said, along with a photo of the discarded bits of doughnut.
