A mother who posted about how her appetite for sex has been crushed by having young children has found hundreds of other women saying they feel exactly the same.

The first-time poster on Mumsnet, a mother-of-three called DcQuinn, wrote an emotive post saying that she could "go months without it" despite still fancying her husband "loads", reported the Daily Mail.

After reading the post, legions of other women admitted that they felt the same, with some saying they didn't care if they never have sex again.

DcQuinn revealed that her youngest child is just 16-weeks-old and that she also has a three-year-old and a 15-year-old.

She told fellow users on the Mumsnet site that she feared there was something wrong with her because she'd gone off sex and that she "felt bad" for her husband who has the "patience of a saint".

She explained: "I feel so bad for him, I just wonder what the hell is wrong with me?"

"We have been together for 14 years and I still fancy him loads. "

Far from being alone, plenty of other women reassured her, with many saying they felt caring for young children and holding down a job left them with little space for carnal relations when the prospect of sleep tempted instead.

A few lone voices surmised that they were "on the wrong thread" after admitting that they had sex at least "every two days:", with one candid poster suggesting she would have it twice a day if her husband could keep up with her.
