Thanks to Andrew and Julia Clarke's hummingbird baked Alaska, Easter cannot come soon enough.
Then I can indulge in all that meringue, icecream and cake (that conveniently uses up five or six of those bananas that are over-ripe the minute you put them in the fruitbowl at this time of year). I am not sure I can resist Shaun Clouson's afghan yo-yos with chocolate caramel either and think they will make a great alternative to chocolate eggs, wrapped individually and gifted. Then there's Warren Elwins hot cross bun, butter and banana pudding, Kathy Paterson's open fruit tart and Peter Gordon's boiled orange and almond cake with chocolate ganache . . . it's gonna be a sweet one.
