A sick, homeless kitten was near death when she was rescued by a couple who nestled her in with their three husky dogs.
Concerned she wouldn't survive her first night, her new owners were amazed to see their dog Lilo go into "mum mode" with their new pet.
"She almost did not make it through the first night ... She was lethargic and limp. So we decided to go out on a limb and let her cuddle extensively with Lilo (the Husky)," her owners wrote on Instagram.
#liloandrosie No doubts that they share the same heartbeat?? Goodnight!?? A photo posted by Lilo, Infinity, & Rosie (@lilothehusky) on Dec 29, 2015 at 11:50pm PST

"By some miracle, she started suckling on Lilo, and Lilo went full 'mom mode' even though Lilo has never had puppies of her own, and never will".
Now a fully grown, healthy cat, the owners began sharing the adventures of their huskies and adopted kitten, who they eventually named Rosie, on Instagram.
And just over two months ago they announced that the kitten and her Husky mum's story has been made into a children's book, detailing their unlikely friendship.
