Trick or treaters of all ages were out in force in Westmere last night.

Among them were Jake Woddall, 8, Brooke Shennan, 5, and her brother Luke (masked) aged 8.

Dave Shennan, Brooke and Luke's dad, who went along for the night, said Westmere was "going off".

"It's been fantastic, the avenues of Westmere have been very busy," said Mr Shennan.

He said the kids' candy take included chocolate, bubblegum, lolly eyeballs and spider "goo".

"We've got at least 50 different things."

Mr Sheenan said the night had been "very festive".

"There's lots of parents walking around, a few parents dressed up as well," said Mr Shennan. "All very family-friendly and festive."
