Quick tips: Top five healthy snacks

1. Smoothies: Add silken tofu or yoghurt to antioxidant-packed berries and bananas, plus nutrient-rich dietary supplements such as spirulina.

2. Raw vegetables: Munch on celery and cucumber, or snack on edamame beans.

3. Popcorn: A fat-burning snack that makes you feel full. It also contains high amounts of antioxidants, fibre and whole grains.

4. Cereal-based trail mixes: Hit the trail without nut or chocolate-based trail mixes weighing you down.

5. Smoked Salmon: Packed with omega-3 fatty acids, vitamins, minerals and amino acids.
