David Beckham is set to launch a new range of long johns.
The British soccer star has claimed that he loves to wear the unfashionable underwear and has decided to start his own range.
The 36-year-old sportsman enjoys wearing the unusual garment around the house, and says they will be a welcome addition to the more traditional underwear pieces in his upcoming collection.
"I sometimes wear them to go to sleep." Beckham commented to UK newspaper The Sun.
"They're very cool."
The long johns will form part of the "exciting" line, which he plans to launch next February, just in time for Valentine's Day.
Beckham is very proud to be fronting the venture.
"The underwear is totally my designs," he revealed.
"Things that I like to wear."
Beckham got the confidence to start the range after successfully fronting an underwear campaign for Armani for four years.
The stunning photographs shot by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, caused a spike in sales for Armani. However Beckham has revealed that the images of his new collection will be even better.
"The pictures are great. They are better" he acknowledged.
"Of course you have to step it up a little bit. They are my own underwear so of course they are going to be better."
