It may only have six residents and few amenities, but tourists are flocking to a little town on the Italian island of Sardinia to frolic with felines on the beach.
In Su Pallosu, a colony of friendly stray cats rules the sandy shores and sometimes they even dip their paws in the sea.
Visitors are free to pat or play with the cats and the spot is becoming so popular that it's been awarded the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence.
The colony is said to have existed for over a century, after being introduced by fisherman to control the rat population.
The beachfront kitties are now lovingly looked after by not-for-profit organisation I Gatti di Su Pallosa.
A video released by founder Andrea Atzori shows cats of many different breeds and colours running around the beach and leaping around the encroaching tides.
The group even offers guided tours of the feline colony, while also promoting tourism around local archeological sites.
While the tours are free, they have become so popular it is recommended to book at least a week in advance.
"People love cats and they love beaches too, so it's a recipe for success," Ms Atzori told The Local.
"People are curious because they assume cats hate water, but the Su Pallosu cats grew up on the shore and have no fear of the sea.
"They are also super tame and friendly so know how to entertain visitors."
