Dom George from The Country caught up with New Zealand First Leader Winston Peters to talk about the latest GDT result.
Peters doesn't waste any time getting stuck into dairy forecasters and cultural commentators, saying they suffer from "undue optimism" about the recent upward trend in the GDTA.
Talk then moves to rural depopulation and the prediction that New Zealand may have to import fruit and vegetables in the future due to horticultural land being taken over by city expansion.
Winston Peters is blaming immigration - or as he puts it "people who need us; not who we need".
