Man accused of setting dogs on party-goers

A man who allegedly set his dogs on west Auckland party-goers was refused bail and has been remanded in custody until his next court appearance on February 9.

Wade Black, 24, allegedly left a Glen Eden party after a fight early on Saturday, January 3, yelling that he was going to get his dogs, Henderson police said. He then returned with two dogs and let them loose on the party-goers.

Two people suffered puncture wounds and another was taken to hospital.

Black was charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and appeared in Waitakere District Court on January 5 and again on January 8 for a bail application hearing.
