It's the 10th anniversary of Keeping Up With The Kardashians. "OMG no", you say? Bible, yes. So the NZH Lifestyle team attempted to live like the Kardashians for a week by following tips found on their apps. Could we keep up?
KEEPING UP WITH ... KHLOE AND KOURT IN THE GYM
All five of the Kardashian sisters have fit, toned bodies to envy and it's clear the clan have been putting in the hard work to get results.
Khloe and Kourtney are often seen Snapchatting their workouts to their fans and it's clear the sisters do a lot of booty and abs moves to maintain their curves and slim tummies.
The girls can usually be seen working out in Kourtney's backyard with their trainer Donamatrix and little equipment, but the Bosu ball features in many of their gruelling workouts.
So Jenni and Liana of the NZH Lifestyle team decided to give a Bosu ball workout from Khloe's app a go to see if they could, literally, keep up with the Kardashian sisters. Here's how it all went down:

What I expected:
I've seen Khloe and Kourtney posting snippets of their workouts to their Snapchat accounts, daily. If the extremely fit sisters are reduced to puffing, sweaty messes on the floor, I already knew I'd end up in the same shape, if not worse.
They do make it look reasonably easy though and if anything they look like they have a lot of fun with their workouts. So I was pumped and ready to go.
What actually happened:
I can't do a push-up to save my life so of course, our first workout move was to do push-ups on a Bosu Ball for 30 seconds. I probably didn't get the depth I needed but I still felt the burn in my core and arms.
Our next moves added in a few knee-ups and butt clenches. I could immediately feel the burning, which I definitely preferred more than the push-ups alone. By this stage, I was really starting to heat up.
I never knew how scared I would be to jump a few centimetres off a Bosu ball on to the gym floor but there I stood scouring unable to jump off, from fear of rolling my ankle or worse. So for this move, I took it upon myself to do a variation of squats on and off the ball.
To finish we did the "one move I always do for a toned butt" from Kourtney's app, which probably was my favourite. Clenching butts and balancing on a Bosu ball seemed easy but rep after rep, it really burned - but in a good way.
Would I try it again?
My favourite workouts involve anything to do with legs and booty so I will definitely be taking some workout tips from the Kardashian sisters, but I will need to work on my balancing skills first before attempting any more workouts with a Bosu ball.

What I expected:
I expected a simple workout that targeted that trademark booty the girls are famous for.
As I am not a regular of the gym I was still a little nervous to look incredibly unfit!
What actually happened:
It was a lot harder than I initially thought it was going to be.
The ab workout not only required a lot of strength around the core, but also the arms. An area where I have zero strength at all apparently.
I liked the jumping squats on and off the Bosu ball, which I felt instantly targeting my glutes and legs so much more than regular squats.
Their favourite booty move was also hard, but really effective. I felt the booty burn right away and it actually made my glutes instantly sore after, which was a great sign!
Would I try it again?
Totally, I am really keen to try more of their workouts as they are a lot better than I thought they would be.
Full credit to the girls - these move aren't easy at all!
