Luke Leadbetter was the only one of three Hawke's Bay kickboxers to record a win in Toowoomba, Australia, at the weekend.
His fight against Australian Chris Stevens went the full three rounds before Leadbetter won by a judge's decision. His Zero Tolerance clubmate Trevor Kapoor fought an older, taller and more experienced undefeated fighter in Aussie Luke Hearle and lost by a close decision in what was voted the fight of the night.
Kapoor won sports goods as part of his fight of the night prize.
Fellow Zero Tolerance fighter Easton Nicholas also lost by a decision in one of the main bouts of the night against undefeated Aussie Ben Sorenson. All three fighers have been invited to fight again in Australia later in the year.
