Two car crashes happened on State Highway 2 between Napier and Wairoa today as holidaymakers made their way home.
A police spokeswoman said the first crash happened in Kotemaori between Arakinihi Rd and Mohaka Coach Rd at 2.25pm.
An ambulance was not required as there were no serious or moderate injuries and the car has since been towed.
The spokeswoman said the second crash happened at 5.10pm when police were informed that a car travelling northbound between Tunanui Rd and Maraenui Rd had crashed into a ditch.
A doctor was on the scene and provided medical assistance, however there were no serious or moderate injuries in this crash.
The car, which is believed to have been badly damaged, has since been towed.
There was some traffic delays while police responded to this crash, however the road was not closed.
Police will be looking at the cause of both crashes.
