Three women armed with a weapon robbed a Napier dairy last night.
The trio dressed in dark clothing entered Arkwright's Dairy on Hastings Street about 6.30pm, Detective Ross Alexander said.
The owner confronted the women, one whom was armed with a weapon. One of the women may now be injured following the confrontation, Mr Alexander said.
The women made off with Holiday branded cigarettes.
They were last seen running south down Hastings Street towards Briscoes.
Mr Alexander wanted to hear from anyone who had seen the women or been offered cheap cigarettes.
They were wearing dark clothing with their faces obscured by clothing or dark sunglasses.
