A Bay woman has been flown to hospital after sustaining an injury from a cow kick this morning.
The rescue helicopter was responded to a farm at Putorino where the female, aged in her 50's, was kicked in the chest by a cow and sustained arm and chest injuries.
At about 9.10am she was transported to Hawke's Bay Regional Hospital for further treatment.
Hawke's Bay District Health Board spokeswoman Anna Kirk said the women was in a stable condition and was being assessed in the Hawke's Bay Hospital emergency department.
