Coastal hazards meeting to be held

An information meeting on coastal hazards will be held tomorrow afternoon at Te Awanga Community Hall.

New hazard in formation has been made public concerning likely future effects on coast properties from Clifton to Tangoio.

The focus of the meeting will be South of Napier. The meeting will be from 3pm to 7pm.

The Coastal Hazard Committee has been established to direct the development of the Clifton to Tangoio Coastal Hazards Strategy 2120.

This is a joint committee, bringing together elected representatives from Hastings District Council, Napier City Council and Hawke's Bay Regional Council - with mana whenua/tangata whenua members appointed from Maungaharuru-Tangitu Trust, Manu Ahuriri Incorporated and He Toa Takitini.
