A wanted man has been arrested after leading police on a chase twice in two weeks.
Police spotted Taurus Christy in a car in Flaxmere just before midday, Senior sergeant Dan Foley said.
Christy got out of the car and fled on foot through properties.
Police who were called to set up cordons and contain the area, saw Christy go into a house and were able to catch him.
Christy had been wanted for about a fortnight on a number charges including family violence, threatening behaviour,and driving a stolen car.
On Wednesday Christy was spotted in a stolen car. Police started pursuing Christy but soon pulled out due to safety concerns for children on their way to school.
The car was found in Mason Ave where he abandoned it,.
Christy will appear today or tomorrow in Hastings District Court.
