Two women and a man have been charged with aggravated robbery after they held up a KFC restaurant in Napier last night.
The two women aged 21 and 20 and a 17-year-old male are due to appear in the Napier District Court today. They are all from Napier.
Police say the three drove up to the restaurant's drive-through window at 11.30pm and threatened the attendant with a firearm. They demanded money and drove off with a sum of cash.
Police stopped their car on Sale St near Marine Parade shortly after and the three were arrested without incident. The firearm is believed to be an imitation.
The shop assistant was not injured in the robbery, but was very shaken.
