A Hawke's Bay singer proved she has star potential by dazzling the X Factor New Zealand judges last night.
Lydia Lewis passed the audition stage of the reality music show in last night's episode, progressing to the "boot camp" phase of the competition.
Following her performance, Mrs Lewis received a unanimous "yes" from the judges, who told her she had "natural star quality".
Mrs Lewis started singing and writing music at an early age, taking the stage for her first production with Napier Operatic Society at 7.
Since then she has been an entrant in the Miss Teen Hawke's Bay pageant and competed at the World Championships of Performing Arts in Los Angeles, as a singer and model.
