Tickets for the All Blacks test against Argentina in Napier were expected to sell out, says Hawke's Bay Rugby Union commercial manager Jay Campbell.
The September 6 test at Napier's McLean Park is part of the Investec Rugby Championship and had already sold more than 19,000 tickets.
With temporary seating extending capacity from the normal 16,000 to 23,000, the remaining tickets were for the TicketDirect Temporary Stand, which was used during the Rugby World Cup at Eden Park and offered "magnificent views".
Mr Campbell said more than 8000 tickets were sold on the first day of sales alone.
Those interested in going to the match would need to get in quick to snap up the remaining tickets, he said.
"I am confident that we will sell out within the next few weeks, especially at the current rate of sales and once the Hawke's Bay public sees the outstanding view they will have in the TicketDirect stand."
Construction of the stand is due to start in the middle of this month and when completed it will seat 9500 people and have the best views of the ground.
The commercial manager said there were just under 500 children's tickets still available and the only covered seating remaining on sale was via one of the hospitality options.
