Clearing of minor slips is taking place along three Hawke's Bay highways over the coming week with motorists advised to be prepared for delays as speed restrictions and stop-go signals will be in operation.
On SH2 between Napier and Gisborne scattered clearing of minor slips and reinstatement of side drains is being carried out between Tangoio Valley and Wairoa.
There is also seal widening under way at the northern end of the Tangoio Valley near the Tangoio Falls Scenic Reserve car park. Delays at all sites are expected to be minor.
Scattered clearing of minor slips and reinstatement of side drains is also taking place at sites between Esk Valley and Tarawera on SH5 between Napier and Taupo, with delays again only expected to be minor.
Similar work is being carried out on SH50 between Napier and Dannevirke at several sites between Fernhill and Takapau.
