Psychic called in to try to find missing pet dog

By Patrick O'Sullivan

An injured puppy will be missing from Hastings for two weeks today but upset owner Ginny Mackay's family of Putorino have not given up hope and neither has their psychic.

The 5-month-old Red Heeler went missing on Queen's Birthday Weekend from Ms Mackay's partner's backyard in Mayfair's Beatty St in Hastings.

"I had her there because she was recovering from a ripped flank from where she had ran through a barbed wire fence," she said.

"I didn't think she would be bouncy enough to escape. She got over the trellis - she's an active little thing."

Ms Mackay contacted Wairoa psychic Darren Botica for help.

"He's recovered hundreds of dogs."

Mr Botica told her the dog had travelled east towards Te Mata Mangateretere Rd in Havelock North, so she has placed large billboards along the route. "The only calls I've received are from people asking me if I had found her yet."

If you know the whereabouts of Ruby phone 0226494399.
